DeKalb County residents can get their first look at recommendations to improve the Wesley Chapel business corridor at a meeting Monday night, Aug. 1.
The Atlanta Regional Commission awarded the county an $80,000 grant to study how to turn around an area that has lost several large retailers in the past decade, creating mostly vacant big-box stories and strip malls. The Living Center Initiative study is designed to help the area become more mixed-use, with both economic development and housing.
The open house for the study runs from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Porter Sanford Performing Arts Center, 3181 Rainbow Dr., Decatur.
