The McDonough City Council convened Dec. 16 for a special called meeting with only one agenda item, which was approved.
A preliminary plat request was made on behalf of LGS Holdings Group 2013, LLC for 92 homes in the fifth phase of the Garden Walk subdivision, on Iris Lake Road south of Racetrack Road. A variance for the site was previously approved in September for reductions in lot width, front yard setback and rear yard setback within the 10 percent threshold allowed by city code.
The preliminary plat was approved 4-0 as three council members were absent from the meeting.
