Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms surprised with two pups
Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms got an unexpected surprise this week: two puppies waiting for her when she got home.
“Dear Santa, I made a list & checked it twice, and I don’t remember asking for one puppy, much less TWO puppies,” Bottoms tweeted with a photo of the dogs.

Some commenters suggested she keep the puppies, while others offered to take one of them off her hands. The pups came just as Bottoms celebrated the two-year anniversary of her mayoral win.

The new puppies could also be a sweet revenge from Bottoms’ kids for cancelling the Peach Drop, the annual event marking the start of the new year in Atlanta.

Whatever the case, someone may be in the doghouse as the mayor gets to the bottom of who brought home the new pups.
