Mayor to deliver keynote at opening convocation of Candler School of Theology
Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed will deliver the keynote address at the opening convocation of Emory University’s Candler School of Theology at 11 a.m. Thursday in Cannon Chapel, 515 Kilgo Circle.
The convocation ceremony signals the formal start of the academic year.
According to Candler, 70 percent of its graduates serve as pastors in churches; others minister in colleges, hospitals, the military, and social service organizations.
