Mattie’s Call alert canceled for missing Smyrna teen

Smyna police have canceled a Mattie’s Call alert for a teen reported missing Saturday morning.

Aniya Silas, 19, who has a “diminished mental capacity,” was last seen around 11:40 a.m. Saturday outside her family’s home in the Megan’s Pointe Apartments on Roswell Street, has been located ‘safe and sound’ at her biological father’s home, according to authorities.

Aniya was reported by a family member to have gotten into a white or cream colored newer model Chrysler 300,” authorities said in an e-mail. Though the investigation is ongoing, the initial investigation does not indicate that this is an abduction, police said.
