A woman who had been wanted on murder charges was arrested in Stone Mountain on Friday by U.S. Marshals, spokesman Tim Dolan confirmed.

Brittany Lee Wiggins, 23, had been wanted for more than a month. She was arrested in connection with the Nov. 25 shooting death of her husband, Demarcus Myers, 24.

According to Clayton County police, Wiggins shot Myers at a family gathering in the 1600 block of Bogota Way in Jonesboro.

The two had been drinking and playing cards when an argument broke out, Clayton police spokeswoman Sgt. Ashanti Marbury said. Myers later died at a hospital.

Wiggins was also charged with aggravated assault.
