Community input is being sought on allowing students to begin their Marietta school days 30 to 40 minutes later each day but ending at the same time.

Question-and-answer sessions are planned for 6:30 p.m. today and March 23 at the Marietta Performing Arts Center, 1171 Whitlock Ave., Marietta.

Marietta High School students would start their days at 8 a.m. instead of the present 7:20 a.m.

For Marietta Middle School students, the start time would be 7:50 a.m. instead of 7:15 a.m.

Start times would be 9:30 a.m. instead of 9 a.m. at Marietta Sixth Grade Academy and Marietta Center for Advanced Academics.

Elementary school students would begin their days at 8:45 a.m. instead of 8:15 a.m.

The Performance Learning Center would start at 8:30 a.m. instead of 8 a.m.

Feedback will be received until March 25 from an online survey at ga-marietta.myfollett.com with paper copies of the survey available in each school’s front office.

Comments may be sent to each school’s School Governance Team at marietta-city.org/Page/2325.
