The proposed Marietta school budget for 2015-16 includes salary increases for teachers and transportation employees due to a projected revenue increase of $4.2 million.

Total revenues are expected to be $88.7 million with $90.4 million in expenditures, using the fund balance to cover the $1.7 million difference.

Certified employees with doctorates may receive $2,823 more and supplements of $6,000 if in-field or $4,000 if out-of-field.

Other proposed salary increases for certified employees would be $3,423 more for those with bachelor’s degrees; $4,227 more for those with master’s degrees and $5,456 more for those with specialist degrees.

Transportation employees would receive $1.21 more per hour for 13 monitors; $2.09 more per hour for 66 drivers; $1.70 more per hour for one master driver; $2.02 more per hour for three router dispatchers and $3.19 more per hour for two field safety coordinators.
