The Marietta City Council has decided not to annex 11 acres off Lower Roswell Road. The 32 parcels are in an unincorporated island of about 50 acres between Roswell and Powers Ferry roads. The property is surrounded by the city.

The council annexed about 5.66 acres in the area in September, but backed off an annexation this month. City development director Brian Binzer said a few property owners did not want to be annexed, and the council decided it needed more time to study the whole island before continuing to annex.
