Marietta will launch a web-based site plan review and permit application process on Aug. 14.
The new online application no longer will require a visit to multiple city departments for plan approvals. Now the website is available at www.MariettaGa.gov/1152/5044/Sages to enroll and register with a secure online account.
City Manager Bill Bruton said in the statement, “Our staff has worked hard to make the process, by which citizens and developers interact with the city, more efficient and user friendly. This online permitting process will be a huge time saver for our customers and is one of the many ways that the City of Marietta is leading the region in the use of technology.”
After submitting their plans online, residents and contractors will be able to communicate with staff online by receiving notifications throughout the plan review process. All plans will be reviewed and marked up electronically.
Payments for site plans and building permits will be available immediately. In late fall, payments for other permit types will be available.
