A trial is set to begin next week for a Gwinnett County man who stabbed another man to death at a bakery in Duluth.

Police said Son Hoang, 28, of Norcross, was in a jealous rage when he attacked 24-year-old Vu Quang Lu, of Lawrenceville,  on Dec. 1, 2009 at the Mozart Bakery on Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth. Hoang is charged with murder. Jury selection is set to begin on Monday.

A woman at the bakery told police she was having coffee with Lu when Hoang, who was her ex-boyfriend, confronted them, began arguing with them and then stabbed Lu.

Lu died a short time later at Gwinnett Medical Center. Hoang turned himself in to police in the early morning hours of Dec. 2, and he has been held without bond at the Gwinnett jail ever since.

Investigators believe Hoang was upset about the relationship between his ex-girlfriend and Lu.
