DeKalb County police Friday were investigating the fatal overnight shooting of a man found wounded in a car outside a Columbia Drive convenience store.
Channel 2 Action News reported that a clerk at the Citgo Quick Mart near I-20 discovered the victim in the back seat of a car parked outside the store.
Investigators believe the man, whose name has not been released, was shot elsewhere, then driven to where he was found shortly after midnight.
“The subject was shot in the abdomen area,” DeKalb police Lt. Dane Cunningham told Channel 2. The man was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
“We believe that the crime occurred at another location,” Cunningham said.
