A 20-year-old Norcross man was sentenced to 25 years in prison Friday in Gwinnett County for forcing a 14-year-old girl into prostitution.

Airick Creighton was convicted of aggravated child molestation and pimping a minor following a four-day jury trial that began Monday. Prosecutors said Creighton brought a 14-year-old girl from Atlanta to a rented motel room in Norcross, where he helped her advertise prostitution services on Backpage.com.

Evidence presented at trial showed Creighton had given the girl a computer, two cell phones and a motel room where she could entertain johns. He collected money from her and engaged in sex acts with her.

The victim was rescued and returned to her family following an undercover prostitution sting conducted by the Gwinnett County Police Department vice unit at the motel, according to the Gwinnett County District Attorney’s Office.

Senior Superior Court Judge Dawson Jackson sentenced Creighton to serve a mandatory minimum of 25 years in confinement followed by life on probation. Creighton will also have to be registered for life as a sex offender.
