A suspect has been arrested and charged in the shooting death of an Atlanta man last week, police said Monday.

Atlanta police officers responded to a shooting Wednesday in the 600 block of Jett Street, where they found Eugene Stinchcomb, 47, suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he died the next day.

Police on Saturday arrested Garrett Davis Jr.,  28, APD spokeswoman Kim Jones said. He was charged with murder, felony murder and aggravated assault. He is being held without bail at the Fulton County jail.
