Man’s body found in Lake Lanier
Authorities were working Thursday to determine the cause of death of a man whose body was found Wednesday afternoon in Lake Lanier.
According to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, a passerby spotted the badly-decomposed body just after 1 p.m. near Sunrise Cove Marina off Flat Creek Road.
The body was taken to the DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy.
Investigators discovered identification on the body, but are waiting until relatives are notified before releasing the man’s name.
