A Mableton man won the lottery last week by remembering what many high school graduates never think of again — his locker combination.

Henry “Calvin” Nash won $1 million from the Mega Millions drawing June 2 after using the locker combination from his freshman and sophomore years to match the first five numbers on the ticket. He was awarded the prize from the Georgia Lottery on June 3 in Atlanta.

Nash, a 1972 graduate of Pebblebrook High School, and his wife and high school sweetheart, Brenda, said they plan to use the money to continue taking trips together.

The Nashes weren’t the only ones to win big this week.

Lottery officials said a Stone Mountain resident, whose name was not released, will receive $1.5 million Wednesday. The winning ticket, which was the top prize for the lottery’s Fast Bucks instant game, was sold in Lilburn.
