Some people are suckers for something sweet.

A sheriff's deputy found a shattered front door and a trail of 40 lollipops while investigating a burglar alarm Tuesday morning, The Augusta Chronicle reported.

The lollipops stretched from the Get It To Go business out to the street, the newspaper reported.

The burglar is still on the loose.
