Outgoing Loganville City Manager Bill Jones was in the spotlight Thursday evening as the city council meeting recognized his service to the community. Jones received special recognition from Gov. Nathan Deal in a presentation by state Rep. Tim Kirby, and from the Walton County Board of Commissioners, presented by Commissioner Mark Banks.
Loganville officials presented Jones with a plaque commemorating his 180th regular council meeting representing 15 years with the city.
Danny Roberts will serve as city manager effective March 1. Roberts has been serving as assistant city manager as well as fire chief and has been an employee with the city for more than two decades. He replaces the beloved Bill Jones who is retiring.
