Due to the current fuel shortage, Loganville will be limiting the activities of non-essential public services. This includes asking grass-cutting crews to plan on an every-other-day mowing schedule at local parks.
Essential services, like police and fire protection will remain fully available, but firemen have been asked to bring their lunch or dinner and avoid going out unnecessarily.
The city anticipates this shortage to be a temporary situation and expects to be operating at full service again by the first of next week. “We have about a 10-day supply of fuel. Our supplier anticipates it will be mid-next week before we can refuel,” said Fire Chief and Assistant City Manager Danny Roberts.
