Lilburn’s Christmas parade has been cancelled, but you still have a chance to spend some quality time with Santa Claus.

The parade had initially been scheduled for Dec. 1, but was moved to Dec. 8 due to weather. The forecast for Dec. 8 calls for rain, forcing the city to cancel the outdoor event, according to a press release.

The parade route planned to end at Lilburn City Park where Santa would be waiting to take photos and talk with kids. Now, the jolly old man will be indoors at Lilburn City Hall-Library. Kids can visit with Santa and make a Christmas ornament.

The event will run from noon to 2 p.m. The city hall and library complex is located at 340 Main Street in Lilburn.
