Learn how to plant garden and preserve food at seminar

The University of Georgia's Cobb Cooperative Extension office will hold a two-hour class next Tuesday to teach people how to prepare and plant gardens, and how to preserve and store produce.

"From Your Garden to Your Table," will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. May 8, at 678 South Cobb Drive, Marietta. Gardening tips will include site selection, planning, soil testing, common diseases and insects. Canning tips will include overview of canning equipment, food safety, pressure canning and freezing. Pre-registration is required and the fee is $10. Light refreshments will be served.
