The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted at its Jan. 7 regular meeting to approve the acquisition of five separate parcels of land for the ongoing development of West Village Parkway. More than 155,000 square feet of right of way, permanent easement, temporary easement and driveway easement were included in the parcels.

The board also approved a resolution accepting an annual Family Connection operating grant for Connecting Henry in the amount of $48,000 from the Georgia Department of Human Services for the 2021 fiscal year. No local match is required to accept the grant.

A separate resolution passed by the board approved the installation of speed humps in the Country Lake subdivision.
