Road closures have been announced for Kennesaw’s “Salute to America: A Celebration of Freedom, Music and Fireworks” from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, July 3 (weather permitting) in downtown Kennesaw.
Friday’s street closings will last from 2 p.m. until midnight on Cherokee Street from Big Shanty Road to Main Street; Main Street from Lewis Street to Summers Street; J.O. Stephenson Avenue from Little General Cloggers Lane to Main Street; and Watts Drive from Dallas Street to Main Street.
Handicap-only parking will be available at City Hall, 2529 J.O. Stephenson Ave. and the bus turnaround off Big Shanty Drive.
While parking will not be available at Depot Park, parking will be available at Adams Park and the Ben Robertson Community Center at 2753 Watts Drive; the lot at Dallas Street and J.O. Stephenson Avenue; City Hall at 2529 J.O. Stephenson Ave.; along Lewis Street between North Main and Dallas Streets; and behind the Southern Museum at 2829 Cherokee St.
