Police ID driver killed after car crashes into Cobb salon
A two-vehicle crash sent a car careening into a salon in southwest Cobb County on Sunday evening, killing one man and seriously injuring another.
Cobb police said a red Mitsubishi Lancer was flipped on its roof inside Eye Am Beauty salon on Veterans Memorial Highway when they arrived on scene just after 5 p.m.
The vehicle, which was traveling west, collided with a gray Dodge Journey during a lane change near the intersection with Floyd Road before it crashed, police said.

Surveillance video obtained by Channel 2 Action News showed the Lancer slide toward the salon and smash through the storefront, sending glass and building debris flying. The salon was empty at the time.
The driver of the Lancer, 22-year-old Raymun Valdovinos of Lithia Springs, died on scene. The passenger, 39-year-old Luis Hernandez, also of Lithia Springs, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with serious injuries, Cobb police confirmed.
The driver of the Journey, 42-year-old Teri Gregory of Attalla, Ala., had minor injuries and was taken to WellStar Cobb Hospital.
