An arrest warrant has been issued for a suspect in a shooting outside an auto repair store last Friday, Johns Creek police said.

Jason Culmer, 46, who police believe is armed and dangerous, is wanted for aggravated assault and cruelty to children, authorities said Friday.

Culmer is accused of shooting a man multiple times near the victim's vehicle outside the store on Jones Bridge Road. Children were in the vehicle at the time, police spokeswoman Rosemary Taylor told the AJC.

The man was driven by a female companion to a fire station on Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell, where he reported the shooting, police said. He was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital.

"The victim survived the shooting and has talked to police," Taylor said. A motive in the shooting was not disclosed.

Detectives said they believe Culmer has returned to his native Philadelphia area and are asking for the public's help locating him.
