Corporal Matthew Stocks has been named Johns Creek Police "Officer of the Quarter." Stocks, a 14-year law enforcement veteran and native of Augusta, was selected by his superiors and peers for his exemplary detective work in the department’s Criminal Investigations Division.

A 1997 graduate of Augusta State University, Stocks earned a B.A. in psychology with a concentration in criminal justice. He served with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and Alpharetta Police Department before joining the JCPD in 2008.
