The city of Johns Creek and Keep Johns Creek Beautiful are offering a free document-shredding and cooking oil recycling event this weekend.
It’s set from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Panera Bread Company store at 11715 Medlock Bridge Road. During the event, such documents as charge receipts, insurance forms, medical records and credit card offers will be shredded onsite for residents looking to avoid potential identity theft issues.
The event also will allow residents to dispose of pipe-clogging cooking fats, oil and greases and to destroy/recycle fluorescent bulbs. More information: info@knfb.org
