For the past 20-plus years, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Pulse Magazine has been hitting the mailboxes of the region's top healthcare professionals. And while the lifestyle magazine will no longer be printed, Pulse will go on beating—through the AJC.com Digital Hub, monthly Pulse Plus email newsletter and, of course, on Facebook and Twitter.

We’ll continue our revamped publication as a one-stop-shop for nurses in Atlanta and beyond. You can expect to read stories about the latest in industry tech and research, feature profiles guaranteed to empower, plus lifestyle guides for A Better You, both inside and outside the hospital.

On social media, you’ll get all of that and a little more fun. Yes, that means memes and videos and a digital community Southeastern nurses can call home.

Why are we doing this? Well, if you haven't heard, nurses are kind of the superheroes of healthcare. And as the U.S. nursing shortage increases, we'll need more of 'em to ensure high quality of medical care. We hope having a digital community through Pulse might ease the inevitable challenges nurses face and give them the resources they need to be stronger, happier and more knowledgeable leaders.

Excited? We are.

A special thank you to sponsors Emory Healthcare and Northside Hospital Healthcare System from the entire AJC Pulse team.
