Cobb County staff will seek input this month from residents and business and property owners on the 10-year update to Cobb’s Comprehensive 2040 Plan.

This plan is a growth strategy “to help make Cobb an attractive place in which to invest, conduct business and raise a family,” according to an Oct. 5 Cobb government email newsletter.

The current plan covers 2007 to 2030.

The 10-year update will extend the current plan’s growth outlook to 2040, help Cobb officials guide and manage expected population and employment growth and coordinate such major public investments as public safety, transportation and community facilities.

There will be one meeting in each of the four commission districts, sharing how the 2040 Comprehensive Plan guides the county and providing information about existing conditions.

Interactive sessions will help gather input about the needs and opportunities for Cobb County moving forward from 2030 to 2040.
