Just about every year there's a story about how Black Friday shoppers come to blows over a TV or that hot toy their kid just has to have.
Sometimes a fight breaks out over who gets into the store first.
Black Friday deals have already been leaked, so expect crowds again this year.
And be aware that if you're going to be in the South, your chance of encountering violence is greater than the rest of the country.
The real estate website Estately conducted research to determine in which states take their Black Friday deals maybe a little too seriously.
If you're staying in Georgia, you probably will be OK. Georgia came in at No. 20 on the study.
If you're traveling to one of our neighboring states, however, be careful.
Tennessee and Alabama ranked second and third, respectively, while South Carolina was 10th.
To determine the rankings, Estately researched how many Facebook users expressed an interest in Black Friday sales and paired that with the frequency of aggravated assaults in each state.
Georgia was 24th in enthusiasm for Black Friday and 20th in frequency of assaults.
Here are the top 10 states:
- Arkansas
- Tennessee
