Steamy weather ahead

There is a 20 percent chance of rain through Saturday and a 30 percent chance of scattered storms Sunday, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Also, expect highs to reach 96 degrees Saturday and 90 degrees Sunday.

The heat index will make temperatures feel like it’s anywhere between 100 to 104 degrees.

“The heat is on,” meteorologist Karen Minton said.

Be sure to stay hydrated, and take kids and pets along with you when you park the car. Leaving them behind could turn out to be a deadly mistake, with dangerously hot temperatures.
