The National Park Service has reopened the horse trailer parking lot at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park.

The lot’s June 14 reopening is part of the agency’s phased approach to returning to normal operations after closing due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kennesaw Mountain as well as the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area reopened last month to the public, with NPS waiving parking fees for visitors.

Visitors should remember that park trails and all parking lots are open for use, but restroom facilities, the Visitors Center, Mountain Road and the Mountain Road parking lot remain closed at this time.
