Horse drops dead at Peachtree and Ellis streets

May 21, 2010A horse died near the Ritz-Carlton hotel in downtown Atlanta Thursday night.
The animal fell on the street at Peachtree and Ellis streets Thursday evening, Atlanta police said.
The horse was not struck by a vehicle, police said.
“It appears to be a natural horse death,” said Otis Redmond, Atlanta Police spokesman.
More details were not immediately available.
