The Holly Springs City Council has approved a 2019 ad valorem tax rate of 4.610 mills, a reduction from last year’s millage rate of 4.730 mills.

With a fire district millage rate of 3.269, Holly Springs property owners will pay a combined, net maintenance and operations tax rate of 7.879, down from 7.999 mills last year, according to the city’s 2019 tax digest and five-year history of levy. The combined tax levy is $4.5 million, up by $527,168 or 13.07 percent from last year’s $4 million levy.

Holly Springs reported a net M&O digest for 2019 of $554.8 million, up from $487.6 million last year.
