The Holly Springs City Council has approved a developer’s plan for 97 townhouses on 13.79 acres on Holly Springs Parkway.

The Stonehenge Group LLC project is at Holly Springs Parkway and Edmondson Lane. Besides townhouses sized from 1,500 to 1,800 square feet, Stonehenge has said it would provide a pool, clubhouse, tennis courts and common green areas. Construction is to start in April and be completed three years hence.

City staff recommended approval of a zoning change for the land from general commercial and light industrial to Traditional Neighborhood Development.

Staff also recommended conditions including a “craftsman type” architectural style with exterior facades of brick, stone, stacked stone, cedar shake and or Hardi-plank or combinations thereof; maximum density of 7.03 units per acre; and the creation of a master association with architectural control.
