The Holly Springs City Council has awarded a $1.47 million contract to Northwest Georgia Paving Inc. to repave and restripe four thoroughfares totaling about 4.9 miles in length.

The contract, for a 2019 Local Maintenance & Improvement Grant project, covers 16,229 feet of Hickory Road (including 4,085 feet for deceleration and turn lanes); 4,224 feet of Palm Street; 4,010 feet of Rabbit Hill Road; and 1,400 feet of Spring Way Square.

Northwest Georgia Paving Inc. will follow plans prepared by BM&K Construction & Engineering, working generally from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to the construction contract. The work must be completed within 60 days of the notice to proceed.
