The Henry County School System’s transportation department has unveiled a new method of notifying parents and students of last-minute delays in bus schedules.
A new mobile text service will alert families to any potential holdups during the morning and afternoon commutes.
Parents signed up to receive notifications from their children’s schools are already enrolled in the service. Standard messaging rates may apply, and individuals using the program should check their mobile phone policies regarding text messages.
Parents who do not want to receive the notifications can contact their children’s schools or log on to the Parent Portal to cancel the service.
