Henry to get $660K for senior care

Henry County Senior Services is getting $660,159 in federal and state funding to help with it programs.
The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted Dec. 4 to approve an amendment to the Aging Subgrant Contract with the Atlanta Regional Commission, which was originally to provide $585,467 in federal and state funds for the 2017-18 fiscal year.
The amendment will bring in an additional $74,692 for a total of $660,159. There is a $37,713 local match and another $13,000 in projected contributions. Services provided under the contract include case management, senior recreation, personal care, homemaker, respite, home-delivered meals and congregate meals served in senior centers.
