The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted at its June 4 regular meeting to approve the appointment of three additional magistrate judges, whose four-year terms will begin July 1.
Santana Tarail Flanigan, Maritza S. Ramos and Sheila Tyler were named as on-call associate magistrate judges, and Chief Magistrate Martin C. Jones told the commissioners that having them on board with the judges already in place will allow more flexibility for public safety departments. Their salaries have been included in the budget for the 2020 fiscal year.
The commissioners also approved two other measures related to the magistrate court, authorizing digital storage of court records and supporting the enactment of a fee-based technology fund.
