The Henry County Board of Commissioners voted Jan. 5 to approve qualifying fees for elected county offices for 2016.

Each qualifying fee is based on three percent of the salary of the office being sought as established by the state.

Qualifying is March 7-11. County offices on this year’s ballot include chairman and Districts 1 and 2 of the Board of Commissioners as well as Board of Education seats for Districts 1, 2 and 3.

Other seats include State Court judge, probate judge, Superior Court clerk, sheriff, tax commissioner and coroner. Qualifying fees for Superior Court judge and district attorney are set and published by the Georgia Secretary of State’s office.
