A decision by Henry County’s Zoning Advisory Board to deny a variance request was upheld March 20 by the Board of Commissioners.

The request for 40 Pinecrest Court in Stockbridge was in regard to accessory structures. The applicant wanted a new metal building that would be more than 50 percent of the heated space of the site’s primary structure, as well as a frame building with the same exception that would sit less than 10 feet from the property line. These exceptions are typically not allowed under the county’s zoning ordinance.

The vote was unanimous.
