Henry County board gives nod to Chambers Rd. rezoning request
Two tracts on either side of I-75 near Jonesboro Road were considered by the Zoning Advisory Board.
The Henry County Zoning Advisory Board voted at its Nov. 21 regular meeting to recommend approval with conditions of a rezoning request from RA (residential-agricultural) to RS (residential suburban) for 54.45 acres at 1555 Chambers Road, just south of Jonesboro Road and less than a mile west of the Henry Town Center retail corridor.
The request is for a mix of single-family homes and townhomes. Final approval or denial will come from the Henry County Board of Commissioners. In an unrelated action, the ZAB approved with conditions a concept plan for a five-acre tract on the east side of Foster Drive, just east of I-75 between Jodeco Road and Jonesboro Road.
