The Hapeville City Council will consider a conditional use permit during the meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hapeville City Hall, 700 Doug Davis Drive. The permit is to construct a gravel covered commercial parking area 62 feet by 160 feet at 1155 Virginia Ave.
Although the city planning commission recommended denial of the permit, the council extended the public hearing to Nov. 15 to negotiate a resolution.
The council will also discuss an intergovernmental agreement between Hapeville Water and Sewer Authority and the city of Hapeville. The city issued bonds which were paid and retired in 2014, generating over $6.5 million in proceeds to pay for water service. The city will consider buying the system from the water authority.
