The Hapeville City Council will consider a request to rezone two properties for the construction of a mixed-use development project. The council meets at 7 p.m. Dec. 6 at the municipal court complex, 700 Doug Davis Dr.
Rajesh A. Patel, representing Venus Virginia Ave. LLC, has applied for the zoning change at 3474 Elkins St. from single family attached and detached to urban village and at 3477 Rainey Ave. from residential single family to urban village. The proposed project, whose cost has not been publicly disclosed yet, would include office and retail use.
The city council will also consider an ordinance extending a moratorium on expanding bail bond, check cashing and pawn shop operations, among other items on Tuesday’s agenda.
