Gwinnett police investigate fatal motorcycle crash

Gwinnett authorities continue to investigate a fatal motorcycle accident on Old Norcross Road.

Andrea E. Sampson, 26, of Lawrenceville, died when his motorcycle collided with a van driven by Luis Zetino-Boch of Duluth.

Zetino-Boch, 21, has been charged with second-degree vehicular homicide, driving without a valid driver’s license and failure to yield while turning left. Zetino-Boch was arrested and is in the Gwinnett County Jail.

The incident happened April 29 just before 8 a.m.

According to Gwinnett police, Zetino-Boch was driving a 2001 Ford Econoline van and was going eastbound in the left-hand turn lane of Old Norcross Road at Boggs Road.

Sampson riding a black 2005 Yamaha R6 motorcycle and was going westbound in the right-hand lane of Old Norcross Road.

Zetino-Boch turned left onto Boggs Road in front of Sampson, who had the right of way, police said. Sampson then hit the side of the van.

Sampson was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville where he died from his injuries.
