Two people were killed and a third person critically injured Wednesday night in a two-vehicle wreck in Gwinnett County.

The crash happened about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Satellite Boulevard and Shawnee Industrial Way near Suwanee.

According to Gwinnett police, the driver of a Chrysler PT Cruiser was attempting to make a left turn from Shawnee Industrial Way onto Satellite Boulevard southbound when he pulled out in front of the tractor portion of a northbound tractor-trailer.

The truck slammed into the PT Cruiser, then crashed through a guard rail and went about 30 feet into a wooded area, Channel 2 reported.

The Chrysler driver, 20-year-old Ethan Ashline, and his 25-year-old front seat passenger, Adrianna Romero, died at the scene.

A back seat passenger, 31-year-old Justin Kyall, was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, according to police.

The truck driver was not injured, and has not been charged.

Police said neither speed nor alcohol were believed to be contributing factors in the wreck.
