Gwinnett issues rabies alert after bat bites resident

Gwinnett County has issued a rabies alert after a bat bit a local resident on Forest Vale Circle in Norcross Dec. 27. The animal has not been captured.

County officials urge anyone who has been bitten or scratched by a stray animal to contact the Gwinnett County Animal Welfare and Enforcement Office at 770-339-3200, Ext. 5576.
