Norcross city leaders, LiveNorcross and the Gwinnett Housing Corporation will officially open the Mitchell Road Duplex, a Pathway HOME property, at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30 at 2105 Mitchell Road. The event symbolizes the city’s efforts to bring quality, affordable housing to the city and assist and support families transitioning from homeless to permanent housing.
Citizens attending the event will have the opportunity to meet one of the incoming families, tour one of the unoccupied units and learn more about what the public can do to help.
“As Norcross grows and develops, we want to ensure our city is an attractive place to live for all who call our city home. Our desire is that Norcross feels like home to all of our residents, regardless of where they reside or if they rent, lease or own a home in our great city,” said Norcross’ Mayor Craig Newton on the occasion of LiveNorcross forming.
The Mitchell Road Duplex is next to the Mitchell Road Mosaic Mural and is walking distance to both Norcross Elementary and Summerour Middle schools.
