Gwinnett is hosting a U.S. Census hiring event 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23 in the second floor conference area of the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, 75 Langley Drive in Lawrenceville. Attendees will learn about local opportunities, have questions answered about census jobs, and be able to submit applications.

Temporary 2020 Census positions can include census takers, recruiting assistants, office staff and supervisory staff.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a valid Social Security number, be a U.S. citizen and have a valid email address.

Applicants must also complete an application, answer assessment questions, pass a criminal background check and a review of criminal records, including fingerprinting, commit to training and be available to work flexible hours, which can include days, evenings and/or weekends.
