Gwinnett County police are looking for two men — one of which was wearing a surgical mask — in connection with a weekend shooting at a local motel.
According to a news release, the 33-year-old victim was sleeping in bed at the Motel 6 on Oakbrook Parkway when, around 11:30 a.m. Sunday, two men knocked on the door to the room. Another person in the room with the victim opened the door and ran out when "Suspect 1" tried to enter the room.
"Suspect 1 [then] ran backwards out of the room, raised his handgun, and shot into the room striking the victim," Cpl. Michele Pihera said in the news release. Both suspects then fled.
